Anyone looking to purchase item for
xbox series x/s u need to get 1tb only to play games off it any other one 2tb
3tb etc...is only good for storage of games they can't be played off it. I see
quite a bit of reviews of people giving one star saying they cant play games
off it. That's Cause they got higher then 1tb.

I purchased an Xbox Series S &
truly questioned why I should buy a storage solution that is nearly 2/3rds the
cost of my console. After doing a bunch of research on external SSDs, I
realized something. Those external solutions, while cheaper, were nearly the
cost of the Seagate 1TB card and I'd be missing out on the best
feature...getting the same speed from my external storage as from the internal
SSD.
Pros: future proof storage that will let you play optimized & series only
titles.
Cons: Only 920GB, not 1TB. Why storage makers get to do this is beyond me.
That said, I really vacant can't recommend it enough. Plug & play,
hot-swappable...PS5 users are going to have pure hell upgrading their storage
with all the different options for NVME SSDs out there. As soon as Microsoft
either has other storage makers get in play, thus dropping the price of this
card, or better yet, produces even larger solutions with the same available
speeds as the internal SSD, it's a wrap for who's won the so-called console
wars.

Like:
Only (currently available) storage officially matched to new generation Xbox
Series X | S. Does appear to work seamlessly with the Series X native
architecture - no discernible issues with speed, quality, etc. Good packaging,
plug and play, it works.
Dislike:
As shown in photo, although marketed as 1 TB storage capacity, when installed
for the Xbox Series X the actual available storage shows "919.9 of 920
GB" with 0% storage (nothing stored on it).

1. So, just be aware this storage expansion card will "only" add ~
920 GB of actual storage capacity to your Xbox Series X (NOT a full TB).
2. Yes, cost is high; so if you don't actually need the additional storage
right now, wait for costs to come down (will be awhile). Most folks only
actually play a few games anyway, so only install what you are (actually)
really playing. So if that's you, definitely defer the storage expansion.
3. But, if you want lots of games "ready to play" on your new console
in their full glory and speed, well, consider getting this card.
